SOLID FOUNDRY
We are specialized in casting metals specified in ASTM A532 system; besides, we expanded its range wider to meet the requirements of tougher applications that the metals involved ASTM A532 cannot handle.
These metals are a group of alloys that in which high-hardness carbide scatter in the high-strength matrix. The hard spots protect the matrix (mostly martensite structure) during abrasion. At the same time, the high-strength matrix firmly grasps the hard spots so that they are not easily to peel off, thereby making high-chromium cast iron shows higher abrasion resistance in the applications of the mining, milling, earth-handling, and manufacturing industries.
In Solid foundry, we engineered the castings that Chromite account for 11-35%, Carbon account for 2.0-3.6% (by weight). Based on your requirements and feedback we choose or engineer alloy that meets your applications, In doing so we maximize your run-time and reduce the downtime, furthermore can cast to finished size and/or fully machine your components.
Solid regular alloys are specified as below, you can choose one or more of them according to their suitable applications.
Has excellent performance under erosive conditions. It is effectively used in a wide range of slurry types. It can be divided into 3 types with different hardness, they are particularly suited to applications where mild corrosion resistance, as well as erosion resistance is required.
Compared with SD05, the abrasiveness is slightly lower, the erosion resistance is good, and its value is easier to play under the condition of low wear.
Has excellent performance where both abrasive resistance and corrosive resistance are needed.
It has higher wear resistance than SD05, but not corrosion resistant. Can be used for PH value 6~14 working conditions where SD05 performance cannot be satisfied.
Has certain erosion resistance and corrosion resistance, used for oxidizing slurry with PH ≥ 1, such as Conveying phosphogypsum, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and other media.
Has certain erosion resistance and good corrosion resistance, used for Weakly acidic environment with PH≥ 4, especially suitable for flue gas desulfurization devices in thermal power plants.
Alloy SD61 is a hypereutectic white iron, suitable for high wear duties where corrosion is not severe. It is a good option when SD05 and SD12 cannot provide an adequate wear life. It can transport medium with PH range of 6 ~ 14. The alloy may provide up to 3 times the life of SD05 and SD12 parts.
We'd love to hear about your project regarding high chrome wear resistantance part castings, grey iron castings or ductile iron castings etc!
